Diamonds...

It's been awhile since I featured a party, and this time I'm going to show you I can be elegant.  It doesn't happen often, so I hope you savor the moment, or should I say party?
'Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend' was the theme for the Bridal Shower I recently hosted.  After spending too much time searching for the perfect shower invitation, I decided to make them.
I found the Bridal Shower Cricut cartridge on Amazon~
And with silver and white sparkly paper from Joann Fabrics, I cut out several diamonds and rings, glued them together and tied them to the invitation.  (Printed on Avery Postcards)
I needed to have a Diamond Themed Drink don't you think?
Keeping with the grey and white chevron theme,
I found fabric to line the counter~
Added grey ric rack and chevron ribbon to decorate the backdrop~
A while back I picked up the crystal strips to use on the stem of my wine glasses~
Peeled them off and stuck them on the glass stems~
With the leftover silver card stock from the invitations, I punched out scalloped circles and added gemstones to the center then glued them on the wine glass.
Oh, and each glass was accompanied by a Candy Filled Diamond~
And because her colors were yellow, grey and white, I used yellow and white candy sixlets.
Diamonds ARE a girls best friend!
Don't go far...I'll be sharing more and more of this Bridal Shower! -

Neapolitan Marshmallow Ice Cream Cones!

If you remember, a little over a year ago I hosted a baby shower for my niece with a NEAPOLITAN THEME.  Since the shower, more products became available and more ideas bounced around in my head.  I almost had another Neapolitan themed party.  Almost.  Instead I decided to share my latest Neapolitan creation.  Mini Marshmallow Ice Cream Cones~
When I spied the cutest mini Neapolitan marshmallow cones, I knew I needed them.  At the time not sure what for, but they were just so cute.  A day or so later, I decided to dip them in Neapolitan colored chocolate coatings.  I love an ice cream cone dipped in chocolate!

Or perhaps a Neapolitan Ice Cream Sundae?
Neapolitan Ice Cream, covered in chocolate syrup and topped with Neapolitan mini marshmallows!
"You are what you eat, so eat something cute!"
My words to live by.

Here's how to go about making the little cones~Quickly grab yourself one of the bags of Jet Puffed Mallow Bites.
Or grab two.
Divide the marshmallows to dip.
Get sprinkles ready.  WHAT??  No brown and pink sprinkles?
No worries, make them!
Pour white sprinkles in a small baggie,
add a drop of brown AmeriColor Gel..
Seal bag and mix until the color is distributed evenly.
Repeat with the pink AmeriColor gel.
Mix them all together in a small bowl and return to bottle with shaker top.

Time to get dippin'
Dip all the chocolate colored cones in melted chocolate candy melts.
Place on wax paper and top with sprinkles.
Repeat with pink and white cones and candy melts.
The white and pink dried alot faster and I had to dip and sprinkle one row at a time.

They do make a cute ice cream bucket too!

Mints For Mom!

Before Mother's day is here and gone, I want to share something pretty and easy to make for mom.  And that's why these Cream Cheese Mints were created.  Or should I say "Grown" since they're flowers?
One batch makes a HUGE flower garden!
CREAM CHEESE MINT RECIPE
8 oz. cream cheese (room temperature)
2 lbs. powdered sugar
2 drops mint flavored oil (I used Cream de Menthe)

Mix all ingredients together.  Divide dough in sixths.  Add food coloring, one drop at a time until you reach the desired color. Mix until all color is blended. Roll into small balls then dip in sugar. Press into molds and pop out immediately. It will make approximately 200 mints.
That is how I divided my dough.
Use any silicone mold.
I used a flower mold I had on hand which is actually an ice cube tray.
Wrap each color in saran wrap until you're ready to use it.
Roll out a little ball.
Dip in sugar.
Press into mold.
Pop Out.

That's it.  It's that easy!

And I found the perfect box to package them in from the Dollar Store~
I also thought they would be pretty in a clear candy box~
 With a pretty printable!
